For this project showing an impossible situation I really wanted to include elements that I love, such as books. Using Photoshop, I combined the photograph of the pencil balancing on the books with an image of a ballerina. I wanted it to look as though the ballerina could be realistically dancing on the pencil. To help with the realism I created a shadow for the ballerina, added a sky background and adjusted the lighting on the ballerina to better match the lighting of the books.
